| Oops. Sorry the photos for some did not come through. Here is the photo of Cory and Jan's booth....

Here is the photo of Dave the Leather Guy (sounds racy, doesn't it?)...

And here is Regina....

Sorry about my obvious technical difficulties and limitations. You would never guess I have friends in high IT places.

| Hi Everyone:
I am nothing if not a bad puppy, something I know more than a smattering of. I apologize for my silence on this forum of late, as I have been completely covered up lately by working on Can I Keep It? Here is what you have missed in the past several months....

The garden is waning these days, but with each new season comes a delightful difference. By now, the cleomes seen in this photo are long gone, but the Angel Trumpets are happy with the cooler weather and are showing off much better than they have all summer.
We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary this year at Felicia Suzanne's restaurant in downtown Memphis. The food was great, and the service was fabulous. We were such a delight for our waiter (the gentleman on Angela's right) that he took us back to meet Felicia, the chef/owner (on her left). It was the best anniversary we have had in several years, since it was the first year since 2000 that we did not celebrate our anniversary at the Pink Palace show.
We have been doing a lot of shows of late. Here are some views of our booth and others, as well as our friends we spend four days with each year at the Pink Palace show.
This is our friend and optometrist, Mike Weinberg. He is a reserve police officer as well. A most interesting guy and a good friend.

Angela seen with Emily , who is the editor of the Midtown Downtown Appeal section of the Commercial Appeal, our local daily news. She loves Angela's work and has been responsible for several nice pieces on Angela published in the CA.

Here is Angela with Regina, who came to America ten years ago with no language skills and 30 bucks in her pocket. She has done very well traveling and selling her ceramic wares...
Here is what part of our booth looks like...

Our friends Cory and Jan, who live in Arkansas, and make beatiful wood burl bowls and boxes. Their booth is always right behind ours, so we spend lots of nice time talking when things are slow. I don't know the Bon Jovi impersonator with them....

And here is their booth...

Here is our friend Dave, who makes leather belts and other fab leather goods. He is a great guy, and always has the booth right across the aisle from us...

You may know that we have adopted a new furkid. His name is Zali (the Zali Lama is his full name), he is a Papillon, and weighs a tad less than 2 pounds (and growing fast). He is all boy and is a double handful. We plan for him to work in sales with Can I keep It?, where his responsibilites will include being cute and drawing people into the booth to improve our sales.

Here's Zoe so that you get a sense of the size difference between two pounds and 112 pounds. They hardly appear to be of the same species...

I leave you with a promise to be more timely in my posts, and with a photo of Angela taken a couple of months ago. We have both been working out really hard for most of 2005, and the results are really starting to show. We are HOT!!

| Okay. And now for a new personal record: Three blog posts in one day. And the crowd goes wild (well, actually, some of them go out to the lobby for M & Ms).
To finish up some unfinished business, I have some images to share, powerful images which shed light upon the magical qualities of the furkids who share our space with us.

Exhibit A: the planet's most beautiful kitten, AKA AidaVelveeta.

Aida again.

Posing with her favorite human.

Carmen catching a few rays before the sun gets to high and too hot.

Zoe Lagniappe, Rhodes scholar.

Zoe bobbing for treats.

She scores.

And gets a victory ear massage.

And is worn out from all the effort....

This is Pete, who was adopted by Lea, who works with Jeanne at Marshall Arts. He loves Angela.

My next furkid will look a lot like this, and will fit in my hip pocket.
Here's to the Furry Godmother, and to her people.

| Surprise, surprise. Two blogs in one day. Alas, we got a big ole blog backlog. Here are the photos from Angela's show opening at Eclectic Electric Gallery last Friday, August 5.

From left to right: Saturday Night Retriever, The Ratzenjammer Kid and Laverne Di Fuzzio. Saturday Night Retriever was inspired by our friend, Helen Phillips, dog Wayne, who Angela swears looks exactly like John Travolta. Hence, the title.

From Left: "The Furry Godmother At Home," "The Furry Godmother The End" and "Who Does Your Laundry?" The two Furry Godmother pieces are book illustrations. Zoe inspired the big dog in Laundry.

From Top: Flurdy Pigg, Lurdy Mi Pigg and Purdy Pigg, the three little Pigg Sisters (another book).

From Left: "Oh, Were You Busy?" and "My Girl." My Girl is Carmen, who is indeed my girl. At least one of them.

From Top, Left: Eula Lee, Fluffy Bubblehead and Dolores Del Mewchia. From left, bottom: Spike De Punche and Bugsy Provolone.

A harsh side view of "You Gonna Eat That?" It is in a small hallway.

"Hep Cat Poetry Jam"

Our wonderful neighbors, the Pattersons and the Pearsalls with Angela.

Angela with Pat Moody. She did a commission of her cats Bud and Wyser.

Angela and Anita Whatley, also a fine artist as well as a good friend.

Angela with Helen Phillips, Anita and Evalie Hill. Helen and Evalie are folks who have furkids who associate with ours in the park daily.

Angela with Helen and Evalie.

Bob Patterson with Erica Glover, who favors our Amy a lot.

Angela with our sister in law, Maryanne and Jeanne Seagle, an artist who works at Marshall Arts with Angela.

From Left: "Monkey Who?", "Monkey See" and "Whoopee! It's Me!"

From Left: "Time's Fun When You're Having Flies" and "Your Hare's A Mess."
We had a wonderful turnout and had a great time. You can see the images better if you go to www.canikeepit.com, click on the retail store button, and then hit view all items. The show images are right at the top of the prints.
Hope you enjoy them, Hud
